Hsiu Yu Lu

I'm a design student passionate about creating meaningful products that merge functionality with creativity. My work spans product design, fashion, and sustainability, with a strong focus on self-care, adaptive design, and recycled materials. I strive to design products that solve real-world problems, whether through wearable technology, innovative textiles, or empathetic experiences that promote awareness and inclusivity.

Beyond product design, I'm also exploring fashion and material innovation, such as making bags and textiles from recycled materials. I want to encourage sustainable practices by repurposing waste into new, usable fabrics and objects. My interest in adaptive design has led me to projects that simulate the experiences of amputees, helping to foster empathy and highlight the need for better prosthetic solutions and accessible clothing.

I aspire to merge product design and fashion, creating high-fashion pieces that integrate technology and innovative materials. Whether designing for self-care, accessibility, or sustainability, my goal is to craft products that not only look beautiful but also serve a real purpose in people’s lives.
